Mr. Abdelfattah Morro presented the fifth episode, "The Crisis of Values and the Threat of Social Peace," on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, where the center's vice president, Salahuddin Al Jurshi, presented a high level of follow-up on the center's official page.
He opened by explaining the difference between values and morals. He explained that the term "values" did not appear in the books of our heritage as Muslims. It is a new term, and some of it is a person who has established valuable and upright, whereas ethics and virtue are mentioned in the Quran for example.
He added that values are a French word translated from "Les Valeurs," meaning "the quantity of the material," and that is why a word of value is repeated to describe issues, principles, and things that have value ends up in the concept that is being used in the field of morality. And so the human meeting has to be organized by the collective charter that happens among the members of the community, which makes their behavior not based solely on the submission of an external obstacle (the law is an example) but subject to an internal conscience (the values and morals).
One of the reasons for the moral crisis we are experiencing, according to the professor, is the measure difference and reference of this ethics, whereas Islam
